Coming Soon: A countdown clock for the 2010 All Day Power Play.  Actually "Doomsday Clock" is more accurate.

Before: "I can't believe we get 17 hours of ice, this rocks!"

Mission accomplished.  We kept Cyclones Arena open for 24 hours again.  Starting out with about 65 eager players at 9AM on Saturday August 8 (upper left) and finishing up with about 35 weary drones at 9AM on Sunday August 9 (lower left), we grinded out another marathon.  It was the best family reunion of the summer.  So far this year's event has generated over $19,000 for Nashua Children's Home, with more donations coming in.  In two years we've raised about $44,000.  We're organizing the photos and stories to update the website over the coming days.  Check back for more.

After: "I'm gonna kill the idiot who talked me into this!"

The Shootout at High Noon Skills Competition was a blast.  Eric Ouellette made several Twitter entries throughout.  See the "News" page for more details on both.

The first-ever All Day Power Play to benefit Nashua Children's Home was held July 26th-July 27th, 2008 at Cyclones Arena in Hudson, NH.  The event was the most successful fundraiser in NCH's history, generating over $25,000 in cash donations.  We've just followed that up with our second ADPP and have over $19,000 in hand so far---and you can make a donation anytime during the year.  Follow the Nashua Children's Home link on the Inspiration page to visit their secure server and make an online donation.

The All Day Power Play is a 24-hour pickup hockey marathon (nearly 17 hours on the ice) consisting of 4 constantly changing teams made up of 15 players each, along with 15 goalies who rotate into the lineups throughout the event.  The emphasis is on pacing, stamina and a spirit of teamwork and purpose, with just the right amount of good-natured competitiveness mixed in.  The hockey brotherhood knows how to do it right.

The directors, management, staff, and most of all, children of Nashua Children's Home extend their deepest thanks to all who participated in and supported the marathon in 2008 & 2009.  Two years running, the tradition grows!
